1 baguette, sliced into 12 pieces
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 ripe avocado, mashed
4 ounces smoked salmon, thinly sliced
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 teaspoon capers
Salt and pepper to taste
Fresh dill, for garnish
Execution
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Arrange baguette slices on a baking sheet and brush with olive oil.
Toast the bread in the oven for 8-10 minutes until golden and crispy.
In a small bowl, mash the avocado with lemon juice, salt, and pepper.
Spread a generous layer of mashed avocado on each crostini.
Top with a slice of smoked salmon, then garnish with capers and fresh dill.
Serve immediately, either chilled or at room temperature.
